What is my purpose? My purpose is to help others make better choices. I started PAINE to help other victims of violence to realize that we do have a choice in the situation. My message is clear, desperate times call for desperate measures. Many women feel they have no other choice but to stay, which is not true. I have not worked since 1991, my age and experience is very much against me in the corporate world, but that does not mean I am helpless and neither are all the other victims. There are ways and means to find employment, earn a living and regain a sense of self worth.
 In 2005 I did not know how to switch on a computer let alone do all the things that I have taught myself on this wonderful little machine.
But now, I have successfully written a book, learned how to work a complicated graphical program and run an abuse prevention website and found ways of earning money from doing what I do.
I have started a nail salon with out too much expense and I have other business opportunities that can earn an income.
People are gifted with different things and with a little guidance everyone can find ways of using those gifts and talents.
People are traumatized by a lot of different experiences and immobilized as a result.
I am working day and night putting various things together to prove to myself and others that there is a lot we can do, but I must continue with my PURPOSE.
EVERYONE has a purpose, and with Endless Opportunities and a bit of hard work, anyone can accomplish what they are striving for. |
